Hi Tim,

Love the new point and frog rail filing fixture! Is there a specific point angle you use for them? Or does it vary with the turnout frog number?

The reason that I ask is that I am interested in one, but the fixture I had you custom machine for me has a specific point angle that I specified.

Would I have to have you custom make a special fixture for that?

The point rail angle I use is 2.2 degrees for my #6, #7.15 and #8 HOn2 turnouts.

Hi Jeff,

The angle for the switch points on the Point Form tools are all the same, 2 degrees, the same angle I use on all the turnouts. If your turnouts were designed with a 2.2 degree point angle I am sure the tool will work fine as is, I believe you can go 1 degree either way and not have any visual or operational effect on the trackwork.
