Hi
I want to develop a layout for narrow gauge in mining and forestry industries, specifically in On30 scale.
I know this scale runs in HO gauge but I noticed that these prototypes run on very distinctive tracks, thick ties, and sometimes even disaligned.
Is it possible to use the Fast Tracks templates in HO to accurately reproduce these narrow gauge tracks I am talking about? (I am talking about the ties mainly)

Funny you should ask! We are working on that very issue right now with our new "Quicksticks" laser cut ties.

The narrow gauge version of this products will have the effect you are looking for.

Here is a shot of an On30 #6 on the laser cut ties. This was built in a On30 Fast Tracks fixture.

Those tracks really look like a mining or timber operation. I just happen to find a picture in the 2 ft Qtrly from a guy in Canada that build those kind of ties http://www.maine2footquarterly.com/ties.htm
I'll keep checking Fast Tracks until this new fixture is available. Thanks
