Shaping commercial flextrack into consistent, smooth curves can be challenging. With our new SweepSticks track forms, this is now easily and precisely done! Simply insert the SweepStick between the rails of flextrack and place onto your roadbed. The SweepSticks will hold the flextrack at your desired radius while it is spiked or glued in place.

Fast Tracks SweepSticks track forming tools are:

  • Precise! - Shape commercial flextrack to you desired radius. Confidently.
  • Inexpensive - Priced to allow a modeler to build a library of sizes.
  • Versatile - All curved and straight SweepSticks are interchangeable with each other.
  • Robust - Don't let the wood construction fool you, SweepSticks are cut from stable aircraft grade plywood.
  • Multiple Use - Can be used to form flextrack, plan a layout, or as a tool for hand laying trackwork.
  • Vast - A very large collection of radii are available, including custom sizes.

You can order SweepSticks now from Fast Tracks at http://www.handlaidtrack.com/sweepsticks

Wow, cool. I haven't been here in a while, but this is very interesting to me.

FWIW, N-Trak has some common radii, 24" (yellow), 25.5" (red, offset 1.5 from yellow), 18" (blue minimum), 22.5" (blue offset from yellow) and 12" (green). There may be a market for all 5 sizes in a single package as an "N-Trak Standards Checking Pack" or some such.

To that end, have you thought about offering these in metal as well? Wood is great for laying track at home, but if I want something to throw in a tool box and validate a module metal would be better.
