How do you set up your bullfrog throw rods to always be in the "in" position when you want your turnout to be lined for normal or straight route? I have seen this on a few layouts and have even read in the model press that it is a standard we should adopt when using throw rods or cables. Any suggestions on how to do this for every turnout, left or right handed?

You only need to construct a simple mechanical crank to 'reverse' the apparent position. Do it in the cabling before attaching to the Bullfrog.

Jon,

Think a teeter totter. Bar with center pivot. When you pull on one side - the other side pushes and vice verse.

Set it up between the handle and the Bullfrog - you get opposite reaction. You can also vary the positioning fastening from the center pivot to have differing throw length desired.

That's a good idea! My thinking is to turn the Bullfrog 180 degrees (so that it is facing away from the fascia) and then use a Tadpole to hold the control rod. Does that sound reasonable?
