Hi,

First two attempts at making turnouts.

The first was a bit of a struggle but I learned from that. The second went much better yet I still learned a thing or two. The third one (still in the works) is looking better still.

They both look a little rough but my test car rolls through without any problems.

JFYI I used rosin core solder alone for the first one but used acid flux with the rosin core solder on the second. The acid flux makes things go much better.

I never would have attempted to make turnouts if it weren't for Fast Tracks. Thanks Tim & Ron!

Should I paint these (along with all the flex track) after installing them on the layout or before?

Thanks!
