I've noticed a few topics that address how to hook up Tortoise and other turnout controls to the throwbar, however, no definitive solutions. On my last layout I drilled holes in the throwbar and used Tortoise machines but found that the hole compromised the strength of the throwbar and many would break. Replacing the throwbar after the switch is mounted is exceptionally difficult when using code 40 track on my N scale layout.

Has anyone developed a solution to hooking up turnout control linkages to code 40 turnouts that doesn't destroy the throwbar and allows for Tortoise or other electronic connections?

Thanks,
Dave
