I am planning an On30 layout that will include straight turnouts, curved turnouts, and wyes. I have already created the trackplan using Peco Finescale track components as templates.
I printed out the On30 turnout and wye templates on the Fast Tracks website, and determined that the #6 turnout is a good match for the Peco long turnout, and the #4 wye is a good match for the Peco wye. The distance from the points to the frog and the angle of the diverging route matches up pretty closely between the #7 turnout and the Peco curved turnout.
But I imagine a curved turnout cannot be built with the #7 fixture. Should I instead look into the HO scale curved turnout fixture? The radii of the curved fixture are tighter than my Peco templates. Not that big a deal ... just fishing for alternatives/possible solutions.:?:
