I noticed that the frog grinding jigs are marked "6 X" and "8 X" with a degree marking. I just wanted to be sure these are correct. If they are, could these be used to construct a regular crossing, or are other fixture tools necessary?


Hi,

These are the correct Frog Point grinding jigs for your crossover kits. The degree marked on them (19 for 6 and 14 for 8) refer to the angle the two rails will cross each other. These can be used for making frog points for crossings of the same angle.
