Fast Tracks

I have tried twice to download the large file on building turnouts. Both times it quit after getting about 166 MB. What downloaded played OK. I use satellite internet, broadband, have plenty of hard drive space and a reasonably fast cpu/hdd. The hdd keeps up easily. Is there something I am doing wrong?

Rather than trying to download the videos, it is better to view them online (streaming). If you are using Windows, be sure that you have the latest version of Windows Media player installed on your computer (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/mp10/default.aspx), and then using Internet Explorer just click on the video that you want to watch. (Don't right click and download.) The player will start and the video will start playing within a minute. From that point on, you should be able to watch the video as it streams down to your computer.

If you are not using Windows or Windows Media, then the next option is to download the smaller Video Extracts. These are 'chapters' that have been extracted from the main video that should be easier to download and watch. You will find these near the bottom of the Documents library.

I am working on rendering up some smaller versions of the videos for people with slower connections as well. I hope to have those posted on the site in the next few days.
