The subject is germane to the handlaid turnouts because the wheel sets are code 40 friendly thus everyone whom uses the wheelsets should read this and take action.

On the Atlas forum someone has bought a recent issue of Microtrains low pro wheelsets. These wheels have a revised flange that is very sharp and will pic points like 13 year old pics zits.
I recall years ago that the original design was beta tested by a Museum club in San Diego Casa de balboa on code 40 track. The original design has proven very reliable in operation over the years. The new one will prove other wise. Even the NMRA Highly recommends a round contour on the flange. I have emailed Micro trains voicing my concerns and hope everyone whom reads this does the same. As is the wheels are useless to anyone unless you dont have turnouts on you layout.

Well, Im not surprised after that deal with keeping the high profile wheels instead of switching to low profile wheels a while ago.

This will really make sure no one will use low profile wheels. (and the finer trackwork it allows)

That said, I never liked plastic wheels anyway.

Sincerely
