 Post subject: Jewellers saw caution.

After watching Tim cut gaps in the completed turnouts with ease using a jewller's saw in the video, I couldn't wait to try the saw I ordered. As described, the saw came with a blade in the saw plus a package of extra blades. The problem was that the blade in the saw was much too course, more like a woodworking blade. The best thing that happened is that the blade broke after wearing through the second frog point rail and destroying my solder joints :oops:. The #2 replacement blades worked great.

A buddy of mine got me some blades at a rock shop. They come a gross in a package and are quite fine. I actually am able to start and finish my cuts without a hassle now and the same blade has made it through 9 cuts so far! Fine good, coarse bad.
