have you considered designing a cross over of a narrow gauge rail with in the confines of a standard Gauge rail, ie. changing the position of the narrow Gague from left to right and vice versa?

They're not that hard to bash using the existing dual-gauge switch template. It takes just a bit of "improvisation" but the results work just fine. Considering that you probably will only have a few of these, repurposing the dual-gauge template should be more than adequate.
