My Atlas above the table machines are having trouble moving the points of my Shinohara turnouts. Is there a lubricant or maybe a more powerful switch machine to smooth operation?

'Most' will prefer the under table mounting of the "Tortise" switch machines.

You can also look into the "Scale Shops" above table units with remote linkage. Several places handle these - google around for a supplier.

Manual switch machines come in a variety of configurations - one of my favorites is the Railway Engineering. Has a working switch stand with spring leverage mounted under table and option for micro switches to control frog and signaling.

you might also want to look into a capicitor discharge mechanism?
it'll have more "juice" to operate the machine better.
