I am trying different approaches to attaching the point assemblies to the #8 double slip switch. I would really appreciate any feedback on what anyone thinks of the method I have tried, shown in the attached photos. One thing I wanted to accomplish is to have the hinged points electrically live without having to do more wiring. The other thing was to better attach the hinged end so it may stay in place more secure.

Another benefit from this method is that the unit can be totally completed before the quicksticks are attached, or hand laid ties can be used in place of quicksticks.

If anyone has any suggestions to make it better please let me know. If you have a question on a particular part let me know and I will try to explain it.

File comment: bottom side of throwbar and hinge end tie. Note "spike" wires soldered to PCB - this is to keep them solid and to transmit power to the point rails.

File comment: Top of throwbar and hinge end tie. PCB hinge tie replaces the wood tie in the QuickStick.
