Ok. I have made my first turnout and it was ok,I got some things to learn though. My question is when I put the track into the # 6 assembly jig
by itself ,it holds the tracks just great, but when I put the pc board ties
into their slots, it raises the rail out of the assembly jig. It almost seems
as though the pc board ties are not down far enough. The rail doesn't want to stay in the rail grooves. Even on the straight section. And also
the small flanges won'T even sit in their groves after all is soldier. I have to soldier by eyeball and they won't stay put. Any help please or have I a bad #6 assembly. Thanks...

Hello,

What scale is your fixture? Are you using 1/16" or 1/32" PC Board ties? The rails should most definitely be down inside the rail grooves, even with the ties in place. What you are describing sounds like you you are using 1/16" ties in tie pockets that are cut for 1/32" ties.
