I have a #6 3-way fixture ordered and failed to order the secondary frog grinding tool. Is this frog angle the same as another standard TO frog? I already have a full range of the point/frog filing tools and if one of them is the same, or close enough, it will save me the trouble of ordering another piece. Comparing the tie template printouts it looks like a #4 is very close.

The secondary frog angle on our #6 three-way fixture is about 15.5 degrees. A #4 frog angle is 14 degrees, and might be close enough to work. The best solution would be to try forming a #4 frog point and trying it in the three-way fixture.

Thank you for the information. I will try the #4. If it doesn't look real good I will order the correct tool.
