Is there a difference in guage? what rr lines were 3 foot, that is 3 foot gauge correct as in 36 " ?
So is the 30 = 30 inches? and what rr lines had 30 inch gauge?

You are correct on both points. I'm lead to believe that the 3' gauge was used in the USA in the early years. 30" gauge is still used in Australia today. There were (5) 30" gauge railways not far from Melbourne from about 1890. I know that at least two are still in daily use as tourist railways.

Well there were at least 15 narrow gauge lines just in Australia, ranging from 2' to 3'6". AFAIK most other countries had at least one narrow gauge line, which means potentially a hundred or more narrow gauge lines world wide.
